How to Help

Montessori Borealis relies on the help of many people to keep our program strong!

Below are some specific areas where we need some volunteer help, some committees that need members, or some materials we'd like to have in the classroom.  You can also talk with your child's teacher and see what they might need some assistance with.

The time spent can be as much or as little as you want, so don't hesitate to volunteer for fear of the workload!  If you are able to help with any of these items, please let one of the teachers know, or contact Kristin, Melissa or Beccah @ 523-1848.

Thank you!

We are seeking volunteers for the following:

Site council~

Site Council meetings happen on the 3rd Thursday of every month @ 5:15pm. Parents are always welcome!

Run an after school club~

Do you have a special talent or interest that you would like to share? We would love some parents, grandparents, etc. to run some afterschool clubs between 3:00-4:00pm. Some ideas are knitting, art, dance, chess...

Please contact Kristin, Melissa, or Beccah if you are interested.

Host a "Going-Out"~

Some students are ready for "Going Out" into the world without their teachers. They can plan trips to places like the library, the boat harbor, museum, etc., but they will need a chaperon.  Please contact your child's teacher if you are intersected.

Share your expertise with a group of students~

If you have a talent or an expertise that you would like to share with our community, please do! Come dissect fish, share your culture, tell a story...We have a rich community of families here at our school and we want to tap into that. Please contact your child's teacher if you would like to visit.

Thank you for all of your support!

VOLUNTEER IN OUR COMMUNITY!!
